summer 2016 bucket list

Oh sweet, sweet summertime.

Even though the Georgia humidity feels indefinite, summer seems to arrive and depart as quickly as a coastal storm. (For those of you who don't frequent the Southeast, storms around these parts strike without warning and often transform from floodgates to blue skies in a matter of minutes.) So in an effort to make the most of the precious weeks that remain, here's a quick bucket list for the remainder of summer 2016. (Items in yellow are complete!)

25 things I'd love to try, see and do in my 25th summer:

Hike a mountain

Mount Storm King in Olympic National Park, outside Seattle. Stevie and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary by huffing and puffing our way up to the top. Tough, but totally worth it! You can read about Stevie's reflection on the hike over on his blog.

Go to a trivia night

Light sparklers in the backyard

Jump in the ocean

Because no summer is complete without some saltwater hair and a little bodysurfing...

Watch an outdoor movie

Send a care package

Ride a tandem bike

Ok, people, not as easy as it sounds!

Discover a new favorite Atlanta patio

Try a wine slushy

Join a yoga studio

You'll find me handstanding and down dogging over at Thunderbolt Power Yoga!

Play games on the rooftop of Ponce City Market

Unplug for a weekend

Explore a new city

Seattle and Portland were a first for me, and I loved them both! The first half of our trip is coming to the blog this week!

Host an Olympics viewing party

Try a new King of Pops popsicle flavor

Participate in a photography collaboration

Visit a national park

Check out our favorite moments from the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park.

Attend an outdoor concert

Host a pool party

Plan a wine tasting with friends

GO KAYAKING

Yippee kayak other buckets! (Brooklyn Nine Nine, anyone?)

Have a girls arts and crafts night

Slackline in the park

Plant fresh herbs

Go berry picking

Check back during the coming weeks for an updated record!
